When you submit a quote request, we collect your email address, optional name, ZIP code, and project details (job type, timeline, roof size, description). We do not collect your phone number unless you voluntarily provide it.

When contractors register, we collect business name, contact email, phone number, address, and information about their licensing and insurance status.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use homeowner information solely to match you with relevant local roofing contractors and to send you your match results via email. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Contractors only receive your contact information after you explicitly approve a connection with them through the platform.

3. Information Shared with Contractors

Before you approve a connection, contractors can only see: your ZIP code, project type, timeline, and any optional project description. Your name and email are never visible to contractors until you choose to connect.

4. Data Retention

We retain lead information for up to 24 months to facilitate follow-up and referral tracking. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at privacy@roofrefs.com.

5. Cookies

RoofRefs uses only essential cookies necessary for the site to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Google Maps API (for ZIP code geocoding and contractor location data) and Resend (for transactional email delivery). These services process data only as necessary to provide their respective functions.
